Description

Gamma Cygni is a huge area full of interesting structure. In this image, note the strings of dense dark gas globules [at least that's what I think they are], much like those we see in the Rosette and to the right of the base of the trunk in IC 1396 [Elephant Trunk Nebula]. Only here there are many more. I am curious to [a] know more about these, and [b] to see if they are found in other sections of the nebula. This is through the WO 132 APO; a wider field would cover more territory, but likely not bring out these features nearly as well.
